Gathering Feedback

Internally, feedback on the plan was collected through an online survey available to everyone across the UMN system, through in-person discussions at faculty meetings in the schools of dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, public health, and veterinary medicine. Additional insight was gathered by the Rochester Chancellor, other Twin Cities deans and University leaders.

Externally, Tunheim Partners was engaged to gather feedback from a broad set of stakeholders, including leaders representing health systems and providers, patient advocates, payers, state and federal government leaders, other higher education schools training health care professionals, academic health partners, health care workers and labor leaders, University funders and research partners.

Timeline + Process:

May 2024: An update on the development of the plan was shared at the Board of Regents Special Committee on Academic Health meeting.
June 2024: The draft plan was presented at the Board of Regents Special Committee on Academic Health meeting.
June-August 2024: Feedback collected from internal and external stakeholders, which was used to refine the plan.
September 2024: Refined plan presented at the Board of Regents Special Committee on Academic Health.
